Iceland - Eðli

Eðli è una parola islandese dal doppio significato: carattere e natura.
L’Islanda è una terra con un paesaggio ancora incontaminato, il turismo però fa sentire la sua presenza. Ovunque si vada si incontrano turisti vicino ad una cascata, a ridosso di un geiser, sulla punta di un vulcano, nelle calde acque termali di una pozza d’acqua. L’uomo entra in relazione con il paesaggio, lo rispetta, lo ammira, trova rifugio dalla frenesia della vita contemporanea. Il fascino dell’Islanda è dato dalla maestosità della natura, è una terra in continuo mutamento, dai colori forti e scuri, un luogo dove il paesaggio è allo stesso tempo desertico, lunare e glaciale. Il turista qui trova la dimensione naturale, la contemplazione del paesaggio, senza condizionamenti artificiali.

Eðli is an Icelandic word from the double meaning: character and nature.
Iceland is a land of unspoiled scenery; tourism, however, makes its presence felt.
Everywhere you go, you can meet tourists near a waterfall, close to a geyser, on the tip of a volcano, in the warm thermal waters of a waterhole.
The man relates with the landscape, he respects it and admires it, and finds a refuge from the modern life’s frenzy.
The charm of Iceland is given by the majesty of nature: is a land in constant flux, with strong and dark colors, a place where the landscape is desert, lunar and glacial at the same time.
The tourist, here, finds a natural dimension through the landscape's contemplation, without artificial constraints.
